I won a tube in the drawing after the Wednesday Night Race. One of the hottest days in almost two years in these parts, I made sure I had plenty of fluids all day long in preparation. Put my tires at 42psi and was very satisfied with the results. Though I know those heavier than I, hovering around 250lbs (246 after the race), ride even lower pressures. Came in 7th for my age group, 17th overall, in the three lap race.
Today I helped prep the course for tomorrows WEMS Race, The Metro Challenge, right here in the metro Milwaukee area. Hope to help where I can tomorrow before and after I race the three hour event.
Pasta for lunch and dinner today though I don't have any of my usual energy or sports drinks.
Misao has been giving me a hard time recently about racing. She claims she never knew I had to pay to race. She was being so nice to me recently and then... Talking is over-rated.
Volunteers race for free tomorrow.
