Speaking of birds, the radio in our new vehicle picks up HD radio. So we receive the UWM station that plays the BBC World after midnight. It is on while we are making our rounds and adds just a bit more value to my life in the various topics they cover from around the world. Something just right of the insanity of our own left wing here. But it was local coverage that I was listening to yesterday when they mentioned half the bird species in the United States do not have beaks that can eat seed. They were speaking of ripping out invasive species and planting native trees and plants to support insect and spider life that native birds feed on.

Can't get to the gym much so have been trying to walk the neighborhood every day. the ups and downs on the hills are a good variant but the sidewalk conditions are poor. Many icy patches especially where the city or county plowed. Took Ship-po around today. Maybe I'll take Tun-Tun around half a block later.
I reorganized the 'Racing for Real Men' links, adding the BC Bike Race. I arranged them by balancing proximity and level of the competition. I put the Trans Iowa last because... does anyone really want to go to Iowa if they don't have to? Maybe I should choose a top ten. Perhaps a survey of the readers. The last survey I tried went so well.. or not. But I have a counter now so I know you readers are out there, so you might as well do it. You're welcome to list any other race recommendations in the comments. I'll set up the survey soon.
