Korean Connection

Jerry Royster, formerly of the Milwaukee Brewers has become the first foreigner to head a South Korean sports team; the Lotte Giants of Busan. I passed through Busan a few times when I lived in Korea. Hope he can make the cultural adjustment. Yes, no money for hunting or an official Cyclo-Cross race but we did dish out to upgrade to Dish networks basic package. We only had the local stations. No it wasn't for the NFL Channel to see the Packers play Thursday (that would be stupid). It is because their basic package includes a Korean language station. Have to beef up the skills I gained there.

So the idea of skipping the Thanksgiving Sundays covert Cyclo-Cross race crossed my mind the other day. I recoiled in stunned disbelief. When did I start entertaining the soft minded thoughts of a pansy? Too much TV? On the internet? Too much time at Church? Have I fallen victim to the medias chickafication of America; the constant assault on manhood? Somehow there must be a way to blame the baby boomers. I shook off the urge to shun my manly duties and determined to race. Then I came down with a cold on Saturday and slept in only making time to go out to church. Bundled up and turned on the TV and computer.
