If this had been an actual race...
Well, I just had no more excuses. The weather was cold and gloomy with the chance of rain and the price even enthused my wife though she could not make it. Multiple heat format quite enjoyable.
I was quite sluggish with my weight on a slight upturn and feeling a bit irregular lately. Not only need to think about training over the winter but diet also. Still getting in good rides but nothing beats a race like one we didn't have here; at this undisclosed location.
I have a North Woods Cabin concept, two versions, ready to explode out of my head. At least five posts bouncing around for my other blogs. Oh, yeah. there was trail work today. Sorry, I just remembered. Packers. And what's with not showing the Detroit game. The Bears have almost no bearing on the Packers season any more. A Saturday would work better.
....What was I writing about?
I said to my wife, "I'm going hunting next weekend."
"Really? ....Where?" she said.
"Ladysmith. Buying three meals a day, staying in a nice hotel with cable TV and gentle naps in the forest."
She said, "....What!" and gave me one of those looks.
I looked at her and we laughed. OK, I laughed, she just smiled.
With gas over $3/gallon I just don't think I have enough aluminum cans to pay for the trip. Guess I'll save them for Christmas shopping.
Many thanks to our veterans and military personnel.
